a day with wader dave
A typical guided wade fishing trip is six hours from greeting to goodbye. Starting times will vary depending upon the location, season, weather, tides and other conditions that will affect fish activity. The first 30 minutes will include a review of the strategy and tactics to be used to locate and catch the day's targeted species and rigging up. We will fish for five hours and likely cover from one to two miles of shoreline. Breaks will be taken as necessary. After fishing, we will take another 30 minutes to discuss the day's results and break down our gear.
I will provide top quality rods and reels but feel free to use your own if you prefer. I will provide, all lures, leader, pliers, fish grip and a wading bag for your use during the trip. You will need to provide your own waders (if necessary), booties and wade fishing attire appropriate for the expected weather conditions. It is highly recommended that you bring a hat, polarized sunglasses and sunscreen as well. I will bring snacks, fruit and cold water.
fees & information
You must bring along your Florida Saltwater Fishing License, unless you qualify for an exemption. A Shoreline Saltwater Fishing License does not cover wade fishing as we will likely be fishing while in the water as well as from the shore. Click on the following link to review current Florida fishing license requirements and fishing regulations on the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) website.
Every fisherman must sign a Wader's Guide Liability Waiver prior to the start of their trip. You can review the waiver by clicking on the following link - Wader's Guide Liability Waiver.
The standard trip rate for a single fisherman is $400.00. In most cases you can bring an additional fisherman for an additional fee of $50. There ma also be an additional charge for trip locations outside of the Tampa Bay area. Fee will be payable upon completion of trip in cash, by personal check or via Zelle or Venmo.
